Presenting a premier AKC sanctioned trial and show club. Dedicated to the proper breeding and training of the German Shorthaired Pointer Serving Baltimore, Washington, Virginia and Southern Pennsylvania since 1954.
This organization is dedicated to encouraging and promoting the breeding of purebred German Shorthaired Pointers, and to doing all that is possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. We will do what we can to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trial, field trials and hunting tests, as well as continually educating ourselves and others about the German Shorthaired Pointer. Join the fun, become an active member, meet and make new friends. Network with other pointing breed enthusiasts and learn more about your breed and its versatility! We are a diverse group of individuals, with a common link - our dogs. Some compete in the various confirmation and obedience events, others in hunt tests and field trials, and yet others are involved in agility events and a few of us compete in all of the above. We also hold Training Days to assist newcomers to learn and enjoy the field work of this marvelous breed. Please contact us if you feel you would like information on the breed and club or to become a member. We also have members that don't compete at all, but enjoy their dogs just for their companionship. Remember we can always use more people just to volunteer at our various events as well. GSP Rescue is also important to us, as we feel this is a noble breed worth saving. We have provided a link to our local rescue group, Mid-Atlantic GSP Rescue, within our website.
