We generally hold a formal club meeting in January at the Cozy Inn ~ Thurmont, MD and then we have another picnic/club meeting each year in June.  Each year the club offers several competitive AKC sanctioned events. These include Hunt Tests, Horse Back Field Trials, and a Show.

Additionally, we also try to have an Obedience Trial and Walking Field Trial. Throughout the year various training clinics and non-AKC sanctioned "friendly" club events take place.

It takes a lot of work to plan, set up and run these events.  We encourage all club members to come out and help as well as enter their dogs in these events.  We'd love suggestions for other events that you would like to organize and help participate in such as Rally, Agility and Canine Good Citizen.

Each event requires a full "staff" of folks to handle varied tasks and assignments.  The more assistance we receive the better our events are and less of a burden to a few members if we can spread the work around.  Please contact any of the event Chairpersons if you'd like to volunteer to help out, they appreciate all the assistance they can get!
